Country Cowboy Church?? What's that about?

Yeah, that's different. There's a lot of "country" churches,
but this church won't be just another country church. East Tennessee people,
especially the people who were born and raised there, have probably had
experiences with country churches, some good, maybe some not so good.
East Tennessee people have a very unique spirit. Many of our ancestors were pioneer stock who migrated down and across the mountains to settle in the region. Our spirit is a hardy spirit -- a little independent, willing to take a challenge, break with the norm, explore new frontiers. Many of our forefathers' kin pressed on westward with this same spirit becoming the cowboys of the Old West. That same "cowboy spirit" remains in many of us who still live among the foothills of the Smokies. We're connected to mountains. We love the outdoors and independence. We believe in doing what's right and helping our fellow man. We love our country and will fight for what we believe in. Country music rings in our ears telling the stories of our lives. We may not live in the West or even ride a horse, but we're Country Cowboys. That's our bent. And our church will be built around all the things that are important to us as we learn to connect to our Creator and get to know Him.
What's our purpose on this earth, anyway??
